Travel with Nature

It was my birthday yesterday and I had so much fun. For me, as an adult it is not about the birthday gifts but the fun is in having a day off work and having a nice time with the family. I did have some nice presents from my parents, my in-laws, my sister and my husband and as I do not like surprises, they all asked me for birthday gift ideas and I got exactly what I wanted, which was great. I also have some money to spend which is exciting, I know exactly what I want and so it will be fun going out to buy it. I do sometimes feel that adults should not bother celebrating birthdays as it always feels like a bit of a let, down – it will never be as exciting as it was when we were young. I made a birthday cake with candles and enjoyed blowing them out with the children and we all played pass the parcel which was also great fun. It is lovely being able to share this sort of day with the children as they find it really exciting. I guess I might just be boring as I even found my 21st birthday gifts pretty dull and I think I stopped getting excited about birthdays when I was a teenager, probably because I had to go to school on my birthday and that was not much fun!
